BIO

I am an actor, a writer, a teacher, a director and an activist.
I live in my city of cities – New York.
My acting career has been a blend of theatre, film and television. I hope to do more of all! Highlights include Tom Stoppard’s Rock’n’Roll on Broadway, directed by Trevor Nunn, Chris Shinn’s US premiere of Now or Later at the Huntington in Boston, directed by Michael Wilson, Bess Wohl’s world premiere of In at Pioneer, An Oak Tree at Barrow Street with Tim Crouch, and, long ago, Bus Stop at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In film, two films directed by the brilliant Antonio Campus, and many others, both features and indies. Television highlights include multiple stints on all the Law and Orders, playing Gabriel Byrne’s girlfriend on Madigan Men, and many other guest stars.
As a writer, my plays include a family play – Strange Fits (read at Atlantic Theatre, workshopped at NY Stage and Film); a play about loss – Moucheron (Liz Smith series at the Cherry Lane), and a story of women who came of age in the ‘70s, 3 Graces (workshopped at Powerhouse Theatre, Vassar, 2024). I’ve also written a film with Elinor Nauen about the NY Poetry Project scene in the early ‘80s called KOFF Girls.
I attended Williams College, the National Theatre Institute, and am a proud member of the Actors Center.
In 2016 I co-founded (with Gena Bone) Downtown Women for Change. Our fight for equality, justice and freedom continues.
